My rat pups are on the large size, so I've still been doing the fuzzies. The female takes the fuzzy, strangles it more dead then drops it, lays on it, then starts striking the side of the bin. I've covered it and gone back to my desk (my "office" shares space with quarantine) and she keeps it up for a good 15-20 minutes. I don't want her to damage her nose, so I give her a second one. That one she eats. The first one...I remove the carcass the next morning because she NEVER eats the first one, only the second one. The first time I fed her, I just left the one in with her and she wouldn't eat it. The second feeding attempt was made 3 days later, and that's when I began offering the two and she began happily eating the second one. The male eats normally, but strikes so hard his momentum carries him half his length. I've got nothing in my collection that responds like this. Whoa
LMAO - their quirks and habits are sometimes entertaining, and a little frustrating I'm sure.

I wonder if breeders in the UK have a different line or something thats docile... Ive also heard of Burmballs. Who knows what kind of Hybrids have gotten around and labeled as Dwarfs.

I agree with you in that I respect his opinion. I watch his youtube and he's got a handle on things that's for certain. I'd rather have someone with his experience talk me out of it instead of making the quick buck to sell me something he knows I wouldn't like in the long run.

Too bad you're not closer to me, my driveway needs an 8'x10' repair.
