    Ball Pythons & Humidity in their native environment - LO

    my ball python draco wont go in the hide that the heating pad is under i do have lights but he just ate and someone told me he needs belly heat to digest can anyone help me?

    i have have a problem i think..

    My BP usually eats at night as well. I just fed him and noticed he isn't in his hide either. As you know, they are most acvive in the evening. I woudn't worry at all. They will move where they need to when they need to. When you awake in the morning, Draco will probably be sleeping in his warmer hide. GL

    I wouldn't worry about it. I'm a firm believer that if the temps are right across the tank, the bp will go where the bp feels it needs to be. I've had several of my balls perfectly digest meals while hanging out on the "cool" side(usually 82-84 degrees).

    humidity is my nemesis!!

    my bp seems to only go in his warm hide about a day or two after he eats. not right away. he's never had a problem digesting.
    1.0 ball python:alfy, 1.0 tangerine honduran milksnake:skippy, 1.0 blue-tongue skink:pup d, 0.0.1 fire skink:worm, 0.2 crested geckos:sepal and bract, 0.0.1 giant african millipede:schwartzkopf, 0.0.1 antilles pinktoe tarantula: pandora
