    Hi

Ok so before getting my new BP I would like to share here what I'm gonna get and you'll tell me if it's good and what else I need.

    Substrate
    Zoo Med Aspen Snake Bedding

    Heating
Exo Terra Infrared Basking Reptile Spot Lamp
    Ultratherm Undertank Heater (UTH)- 11"x17"
Zilla Premium Reflector Light & Heat Black Ceramic Dome Lighting Fixture

    Decoration
    Fluker's Pothos Repta-Vines, 6-feet
    Exo Terra Mandarin Plastic Plant
    Exo-Terra Primate Skull Hideaway, 6" L X 5" W X 4.5" H

Re. heating, I favour a ceramic heat emitter on a pulse proportional thermostat. It keeps the air temperature nice and steady and should last a lot longer than a bulb. Some people seem to find them drying, but I have managed to keep my humidity steady with a big water dish and the occasional top up with a spray bottle so far.

Whatever heat lamp you use, though, you will definitely need a lamp guard. Snakes have got nasty burns from climbing up and touching their bulbs.

Don't forget to get all your cleaning stuff, first aid kit (mine contains reptile safe antiseptic ointment, mite treatment spray, disposable gloves, various tweezers/magnifiers and hand sanitiser), pillowcase & tub for travel (in case you need to go to a vet) and feeding tongs.

(Also, good on you for getting on here and doing your research first )
