    CHE Wattage

    Hi there,

I'm going to be setting up a 20 long tank for a juvenile bp in the next few weeks. Will be using a UTH with thermostat under the warm side and a CHE with dimmer switch in a dome fixture on the lid. What wattage CHE do I need? I can only find 100 to 150 watt on Amazon but I thought someone on Here mentioned 50 watt?

    Regards,

    Outlander

Depends on the temperatures in the room you are going to be keeping your enclosure...

The room stays at 71-73. I will be using black foam board to black out and insulate the sides and back, and the screen top will be closed off with aluminum tape, leaving a space just a little bigger than the CHE.

100W will do great, pretty much the exact temps, tank and CHE I have with the UTH mat.

It's not an overkill but won't run low on heating power either. Just right.
