Does cypress mulch hold higher humidity than aspen?

    ^ See above.

I put cypress mulch in my snake's RUB tonight and the humidity has hit the roof, with the walls of the box becoming a little damp with condensation. Obviously the first port of call is going to be more RUB holes, but I am also wondering if some substrates were worse at holding humidity and what those are, because apparently I might need them...

Re: Does cypress mulch hold higher humidity than aspen?

With my experience I started using Apsen and it was the worst for me keeping the humidity up, after joining this forum I was told about. Cypress mulch and it added it to my tank and it was at 86% it was super high! I had to mix it up and let it settle down for a few hours til I went down, but after it did I got it set up the way I wanted to but so far it's the best I've used even though I've only used Apsen and Cypress Mulch so I don't know how the others handle.
