    Traveling with a BP

My family and I will be making a big move come the beginning of August, and I was wondering if anyone else has advice for comfortably transporting a BP. It's the kind of move where we'll most likely have to stay overnight in a hotel before completing the duration of the trip. Today we talked about trying to find a large enough bag to safely house his terrarium in to "sneak" him into the room with us. I know that seems dishonest, but we really aren't seeing any other options. I don't want to leave him in the car overnight for multiple reasons. We just want him to be as comfortable as possible during the trip, so if anyone has helpful hints we'd love to hear them! I know we can't be the only ones who've been in these circumstances.

    Thanks guys!!!

All you need is a plastic tub based on the snake size a heat pad and a dimmer like this one https://www.amazon.com/Lutron-TT-300...=lutron+dimmer

And during the trip have you snake in a snake bag and place him in a Styrofoam cooler or or shipping box with some padding around the bag.

Thank you for the advice! What would the dimmer be used for?

The heat pads at full blast will burn your snake. They need to be regulated. Really I'd just pay for the $20 kind of horticulture thermostat to set the temperature more steady.

How long will your trip be? It sounds like only one night so just a tub with a regulated heat pad as suggested would be fine.

I recently drove with mine from Florida to California. You'll be fine.
