Do you say gravid or pregnant

I've seen people use both terms. I got into a conversation with another breeder about this and we were trying to figure out which is the most commonly used term, or which is the actual proper term. I usually say gravid but I have a lot of people on my FB who are not familiar with breeding terms, so I usually just say gravid/pregnant for those who don't know what I mean. In my opinion pregnant makes more sense for live bearers, but I've always thought gravid was the proper term. What are your thoughts on this?

Gravid is the technically correct term and the one I see used most often. I think people just switch to using "pregnant" in conversation colloquiallly.

Gravid, since I don't talk snake breeding to non snake people I only use the term gravid.

Lol preggers! I think I'll just start using that! I do talk to non snake people about my snakes and I try to keep it simple and understandable.
