    Ball python sick- please help

Hi I'm new to this website, and I don't know how to work forums, but I think my ball python might be sick. She shed a month or two ago and her rip of her tail still had some old shed on it. I was told it would come off but it didn't so I pulled it off. The tip of her tail is now black and has no scales on it. Also, she had feces that smelled atrocious and were mostly solid but a little liquid. Now her anus looks very irritated and I'm nervous that she's sick. I really love her and I would be devasted if she died. Can y'all help?

The best advice I can give would be to find a qualified exotics vet in your area - preferably one with experience in ball pythons. Medical issues are tough to diagnose and treat over the internet.

I don't know who told you a stuck tail tip would just come off but that person gave you bad advice. Stuck tail tips should be removed immediately, otherwise they dry out, constrict as they dry, and cut off blood flow which results in a dead/necrotic tail.

This snake needs to go to the vet ASAP.

Will she be ok if I take her there?

We aren't vets - we all hope a good vet can help your snake, and if issues haven't progressed too far a good outcome is more likely, but without the medical training and being able to examine her in person we just can't say for certain.
