Where is your thermostat probe located and how do you have it secured?

    What is your room temperature?

that is one more thing i think i haven't gave it enough time. it has been running for like 6 hours so far. t stat is set to 107 im getting a 89 degree hot spot is that right around where i need to be? Going to be breeding as soon as i can get these temps to level out and stay about where i need them to be. This is my first time with a rack system

Next question, is it an on/off style or proportional? VE-300 can be set to either.

The probe is on the tape and you are taking your temperature on the floor inside the tub not on top of the sudstrate?

I have it turned off. Because the "pulse" was not enough to keep it remotely hot.

My temp probe is not in a tub it's in the middle rack half way in the middle

Pulse is more stable that on/off........

Middle of the rack still doesn't answer any questions?????
    On the middle shelf?
In the middle of the shelf??
You might be better off posting a photo......

The exact location of the thermostat probe is where? On the shelf material OR on the heat tape itself?
What are you using to measure the temperatures?
Where exactly are you taking the temperature? Under the substrate or on top of it?

I'm using my infer red temp gun, and 6 Probs in all the tubs. My probwife from my t stat is in the middle shelf in the middle of the tape. Not inside the tub it is taped directly on the tape. And the pulse mode cannot keep up it seems so far the on off is better
