Pics of your Dumerils?

I'm using that reptichip, coco stuff at the moment and my burrowers seem to love be buried in it but the dumerils also hangs out in the hides or in the cork tube, as long as there's something to hide in or under I think you'll be ok.

Yes, if I can continue to use the kraft paper and provide two hides - that you think would be fine?? I guess each animal is different and I may just need to experiment a bit.

cool, a towel is a good idea. I really would prefer to keep using the paper. So much easier to keep everything pristine clean in my opinion.

When I first gave my dumeril's paper towel, she would repeatedly try to burrow into it and mess it up LOL. I did provide two hides. But maybe your dum will be fine with it, who knows! I use harlan teklad aspen for my dum now that she can burrow into, but I'm sure reptichip would be great too.

My other concern with aspen or cypress is them eating some when we feed them. Is that an issue

Keep the dum healthy in correct temps, and it is not a problem. They are able to digest bones and teeth.

When they get substrate stuck in their mouth, they do a good job of getting it out too.

If you're worried, you can always place a plastic lid into the enclosure and feed on top of that.
