    Respiratory infection

My ball python has a minor RI. Took her to the vet on Friday and she is now on antibiotics. He put her on 5 injections every 3 days. She got her first one on Friday and I have to give her a second one tomorrow. My question is, just out of curiosity, how long do they take to kick in and start working? I noticed her mouth open a little bit yesterday to breathe but not as much as before. Just wondering if it takes a few injections before she starts feeling better again.

Depends on the animal, the severity and whether proper antibiotic were prescribed.

    Re: Respiratory infection

This is her first RI and the vet said it is not a bad one. The antibiotic is injections of ceftazidime.
