    It's hard. Especially when you treat your breeders like pets. I never had any trouble feeding my snakes rodents someone else produced, but once I started breeding them it was hard to put them down. They're the babies of our beloved pets! And my kids and I have usually held and petted them a bit. They're too cute to resist.

    I agree with Deborah about one thing though. We don't name any except the ones we're keeping. The holdbacks make it all worthwhile. I'm proud of the lines I've started and I'd like to start a rattery/mousery when I know more about their genetics.
