Ball python and corn snake

Hi everyone,

I know this is a forum for ball pythons, I have a 15month old pastel ball python (Basil) weighing at 550grams and I have just bought a 1 year old amel tessera corn snake (Lilly).

I have a separate viv for both snakes but was curious if I could handle both snakes at the same time, for example I hold my Basil and my fiancee holds Lilly and how they would act and interact together.

Technically, it's best to handle them separately until you're sure the corn snake isn't ill with anything that can pass to your ball python. It's usually called quarantine.

Otherwise, there's no reason to force them to interact- but just your fiance holding one and you holding one will be fine. Most likely they'll try to get away from each other LOL

Thanks, how would I know if she is clear, just by monitoring her over a period of time?

Yes, generally a minimum of 60 days. =)

There is TONS of great information on this forum. I suggest looking at some of the STICKIES for some of the basic info that may help you, including plenty of info on quarantine.
