Oh yes they do, i have to clean the bin right after he is done, there is always pee around

If you have no problem cleaning up a snakes waste out of its enclosure, why not just clean up the rats waste from the enclosure?

Like I said, if it works for you..
I'd be more worried about the rat peeing on me, my clothes or the carpet while I transported the ball of "snake wrapped around rat"! I would think the rat probably pees pretty quickly once grabbed. I know I'd pee my pants if a giant snake constricted me
I'd rather clean up a bit of rat pee in the enclosure next day, rather then off of the carpet or myself. Not to mention its not ideal to put the snake through this. They know they are the most vulnerable during constricting/feeding.
But perhaps yours don't mind
edited to say: be careful you don't actually startle the snake enough to loosen its grip some. Could result in the rat delivering a nasty bite around the head/eyes of the snake..

For some reason i find it nasty, i have no issue with snake waste, but rats i find disgusting. Its easier and cleaner to just rinse the bin

Luckily, no carpet and apparently they really dont care, the bin is right next to their cage and they constrict with no problem and then they swallow, no regurgitations as of yet and ive been doing it since day one

That's just fine for now. However please don't post any question later about how your snake has stopped eating or worse. What you are doing will catch up with you.

I understand that some people like to feed their BPs out of the enclosure and that's fine, but you need to let him fully get that rat down and situated and you don't need to go reaching in right after. Sometimes it takes snakes a few minutes to get out of feeding mode. If you're going to take him out of the bin after feeding him, let him get that rat down more and don't reach in front of his face. Go from behind this way you can tell if his head is coming for you. That or get a little snake hook so you can let him know it's not food.
I do feed some of my snakes out of their enclosure but it's more to the point so I can do maintenance because my snakes burrow and I need to go through the substrate and destroy their burrows while looking for poop to clean, also I have two snakes in the same enclosure which have been living together since 2013, so I never feed them in the same enclosure because they have a voracious appetite. With balls I'd be careful moving to feed, they are literally so temperamental and can easily go off food enough without added stress.

I was not reaching for him, i was reaching for the feeding tongs that were in the bin. I wait until he starts trying to get out of the bin to put him back

Re: Not a rat
I want to start off by apologizing for being hard headed and maybe sounding like a smart**s. I started this thread as a joke for being bit, but then got mad when i was actually receiving good advice that i didnt appreciate at the moment, that was extremely inmature from my part and im sorry for that. Obviously you people have much more experience with snakes than me, and after giving it a lot of thought I will stop stressing my snakes with the bin. It makes sense that they get stressed out by this. My concerns are that the snakes eat too much substrate too often and they get impacted. If anyone has ever had that issue i would appreciate if you shared your experience. The other concern is the growth of bacteria in the rats bodily fluids that remain in the enclosure and substrate. When my snakes make a mess i remove a lot of substrate, even parts that are dry around the pee. I want to keep their environment as bacteria-free as possible. Rat poop i can pick up, no issue, but the rat pee im not going to be able to see is what i worry about. I change the whole substrate every 3 months (I only had my snakes for less than that, the first substrate change is on the 24) but if rat pee in the enclosure is not big deal then i wont worry about it (of course, if i can see it i'll take it out). Also, if the snakes get rat pee/blood/poop on them, do i have to clean them even if they just ate or is it really not an issue to wait the two days? Again, Im very sorry if i was rude and ignorant before, i care for my animals and i always say that if im doing something wrong i want to correct it to give them a good, stress free life.

Re: Not a rat
I forgot to mention, i do NOT feed live, i feed p/k because i cannot feed f/t yet, i will as soon as im able to. I suppose body fluids are no problem with f/t, but with these p/k rats they do pee and even poop sometimes while being constricted
