I agree hahaha it took him two minutes to realize i was not another rat. You can see his rat going down his throat, thats how you know he is a fatty, not even done with the first and trying to get seconds lol

Why did you put your hand in there in the first place?

Re: Not a rat
Taking him back to his enclosure. I let them take the prey in their cage, but i put them in the bin so that they dont swallow substrate and so that the rat doesnt pee in their cage

I have to admit, I don't get that.
You let them take the rat and then move them? Before the rat can "pee" ?
And then you move him again before he has even swallowed the rat, while its still in his neck ?
I know, every one does things their own way, and if that works for you...
but you've been lucky that your BP hasn't rejected food or regurgitated yet.

Re: Not a rat
You move them once they start eating? That can stress them out and good deal. There is nothing wrong with them eating on substrate. They are made to digest bones, fur, guts, whatever. A piece of substrate won't bother it.

Nono, let me explain, i totally see your point, i let him grab the rat in his enclosure so that its less likely to refuse the food, but i put them in the bin as soon as he is coiled so that the rat pees amd poops in the bin. I wasnt gonna pick him up yet, i was gonna grab my feeding tongs, and i might have gottwn too close, and bam, got bit, i always wait for them to try to get out of the bin on their own before i move them

I still think that sounds stressful for the snake and like Zina said, that can cause regurgitation. Ideally it's best not to hold a snake for 48 hours after they have eaten. I don't think the rat would really have much time to poop or pee.
