This is a longtime well-documented story that gets no coverage in the American mainstream media, which makes it appear to most people to be the stuff of conspiracy theories or fringe wingnuts. The real story here is how and why it has been kept out of the mainstream media altogether during the first Bush's campaigns as well as Jeb's and Dubya's. It's not like the story isn't "juicy" enough to draw viewers or readers.

Prescott Bush was just another ho-hum New York banker until his father-in-law brought him in on the deals with the Germans and made him rich. Prescott Bush's story is most likely one of greed and ambition superseding morality, a common theme among powerful men, and certainly among American industrialists and financiers.

Should his grandson be held accountable for his actions? Probably not, but the family does bear scrutiny in terms of whether full legal remedies have been satisfied and why they've been so successful at keeping this out of the media. If no wrongdoing or questionable ethical practices are uncovered, then that should be the end of it, but if not, they should be held accountable.
