    I'm worried now..

I have just given my clyde his dinner and long story short he ate it tail first and got in a bit of a pickle with the rats legs obviously not bending the way they should... I've just read a few posts on other forums about how this can damage their esophagus and hurt them, he had an enormous lump because of it being the wrong way and it's gone down now and he's back in his hide but I'm worrying now he might be hurt I really hope not, has anyone experienced this?? or has their noodle eaten one tail first??

I have a 3 year old normal affectionately named Dumb Dumb who eats like this 90% of the time. Hasn't killed him yet.

    LOL

One of my balls have eaten rats the wrong way some times too, but it's really not a big deal! Don't worry about your little noodle, he'll be just fine

It happens sometimes. Don't worry about it, there is really nothing you can do about it. As far as I know. He will digest it just fine. Just leave him along for a few days and it will work out. Some of my snakes eat butt first with out anything bad happening.

It will be fine, they have survive million of year without us and I am pretty sure along the way they swallowed a few prey backward.

Eating backward is generally seen in younger animals and or if the prey is too small.

Had many snakes doing it (more than I can count) and they all survive.
