    There's absolutely ZERO pressure

Sometimes snakes simply won't eat , as I recall the record for snake fasting is over TWO YEARS , by a Royal / Ball python ...

He looks great after that shed.

Didn't read through the whole defrosting methods, but I just put my rats in a sandwich bag, and in a big mug 1/3 boiling water and 2/3 hot tap water. Takes about 20 minutes. I often leave it next to the vivarium, not that it helps. Then I'll put the rat on some tissue, and hairdry it next to the vivarium; keeps some water, but my adult male smells the food too.

Has he been offered/when is he being offered?

Ja, just make the rat do a zombie dance and I'm sure he'll bite on it.
