Meh so so lol first time I fed him he was lethal he made me jump so bad but next few times I got used to it, he's so finicky when eating takes me so long to convince him to have a meal and sometimes he just turns away and sods off it's defrosting in the fridge now so will have a try of a different heating method maybe tonight? Any tips?

Well there are loads of different ways but this one works for me .
Virtually guaranteed in my experience - if he's at all interested ...
This method WORKS if done properly ...
I wait until evening as they're nocturnal of course . I let the rodent thaw out in the reptile room so they get the smell .. Then put a couple of pieces of card over the substrate ....
Then I warm up the mouse / rat with a hairdryer and offer with tongs IMMEDIATELY whilst still warm . If refused simply repeat the heating and offering as many times as needed. .
A couple of mine will only strike feed from within their hides so I dangle the warm rodent in front of the hide's entrance - usually works but if it fails simply reheat the rodent with a hairdryer and immediately offer again whilst it's still warm , continue until it's grabbed ...
I always wait until evenings to feed as they're nocturnal of course .

Incidentally , if it shows no interest at all not even a tongue flicker maybe it's best to leave for a week or so.

He looks healthy enough and when I got my snake she was fussy with food for a few months as the change in environment can be a shock but nothing too serious just keep a log of what he ate and when to make sure it's not too long but they can go months without eating. He is a beautiful snake I hope all is well with him.

OK I will give that a go and see if he takes it tonight, hopefully he will as with temps and humidity I've now nailed it so after a fresh shed I'm sure he should be ready to eat, have offered every week but he hasn't taken anything for 4 weeks but I have only ever prepared rat in a bag in warm water so maybe a different method will get his senses tingling have rummaged in his shed and can't certainly say I can find / see his eye caps but his eyes are black glossy and clear so I'm thinking there off??

Thanks, hoping he will get on the mend now he came to me in such a state it was unreal, poor soul was neglected something rotten, have been doing alot of learning from him changing temps, hides, substrate, all settled now and steady where it should be he seems happy enough he moves from hot to cold sides regularly and at night he often comes out for an explore, just got to get this feeding sorted and he should be back on track!

I used to thaw mine in very warm water but I was told it was just washing away the potent rodent odour which kinda makes sense .
I now thaw naturally in the snake room hours before , sometimes put them on a spare heat mat to speed things up ....

Tonight , whilst he's in the hide , quickly dangle the warm rat in the entrance , he will hopefully grab it instantly ( if he's awake ) if not a couple more attempts with a WARM rat should at least get him interested and tongue flicking then it's just a matter of repeating the warming and dangling .

If he's out and roaming around the Viv when you offer the rat it may just simply scare him into a corner or his hide which is the end of things normally for a week or so ...

    Good luck !

And take pictures , I'm that confident

Ah now nothing like a bit of pressure haha , I'm really hoping he does cause this is 4 weeks now since he ate , so now husbandry is on track and settled I'd like to get a food routine as well, will help me in the future for being able to know if somethings not right , currently said rat is sitting on top of his viv defrosting in all its glory ... I usually turn his light out about 8 so will get warming about 8.30 and see how it goes .... Wish me luck and ok keep you posted !
