Okay, I've got a few choices here for names.

    Brief explanation:

Issa is the God of the Nyissans and of snakes in the Belgarid/Mallorean series. Essa is a norse rune. It would probably be just difference in the way it's pronouced.

    Nyoka is african for snake.

Pulsar. I have a cat named Nebula due to the fact that that she is a blue cream tortishell tabby. Pulsar is an astrological term.

Raju was the lamia's mate in one of the Anita Blake novels.

Other suggestions can also be posted, if you didn't post when I first got the snake. Please vote

I chose Pulsar because it's the only one(other than Raju, which I didn't particularly like) out of those that I haven't seen used for a bp's name.

Only other I can recommend would be Delano. It was what I was going to name my ball if it was a male. I think it's old french for "of the night". Seems to suit a bp.

The problem I have with Nyoka is that "African" isn't a language. A lot of the names sites that say things like that are just making that up or are misreporting, so for all we know, Nyoka could mean "booger-eater" or "chronic gas" or something. The sound of the word is nice, though.

I can't remember which website I got that off of at this point.

I've seen an akita on the adoption websites before that was named "baka". (I think I spelled that right). "Baka" in japanese means idiot or moron. I have no idea if the previous owner knew that or not when they named the dog.

Hey, I named one my parent's akitas Keesha, and it doesn't have any meaning to it that I know of.

I chose Issa. Because of the meaning.
