    Should I be worried?

I was holding my BP and noticed her anal spurs were gone. Well one is gone and the other one was like sunk in with like a little dry skin?? Do they grow back? What happened?

    Re: Should I be worried?

Is the area clean/no blood ect? If so then I wouldn't worry, the bits that poke out are typically spur caps, if look look closely there should be little tiny white spur in there (which I'm guessing is the bit you said looks like dry skin). Was there anything she could have caught herself on? It's not something I have personal experience in, only looking at others so someone else might come along with other reasons for them coming off

As they get larger and larger (spur caps), they often tear off during shedding. There is occasionally a small amount of blood when this happens, but your snake will be no worse for wear.

No. No blood or anything.. I just had no idea that the spurs had caps that came off. The dry skin was probably caps.
