Do all bananas lose their lavendar color as they mature?

I've been looking at these guys myself but I'm kind of hesitant because there's such a wide range of colors in adulthood. The toffino seems like a good bet for a similar snake that holds color well. I'll have to keep looking for a bit I guess.

Look at #bananaballpython on Instagram, surprisingly good collection of pictures. The bananas kind of grow on you, but another good one is the candino. I have seen some really great coloration on those.

Thank you for posting this! I'm really curious about the progression of coral glows. It seems there's so much variability... I'm hoping that mine will darken instead of lighten as I really love the lavender colour and freckles. I think it just looks so different!

This one is 8 months right now and he is holding his color. The lavender isn't quite as dark as the picture shows, but not that much lighter. I'm quite happy with how he is aging. This was right after he shed the other night.

I believe it depends on the bananas as mine is faded and doesn't show much lavender but his 2 clutches he fathered the babies varied some were more vibrant colored while others were dull not very eye catching I guess but I'm currently raising up 1 baby I kept that did look better then any of the other and can't wait to see if his lavender color goes like the dad or stays

Judging by the photos, I believe the lavender is actually somewhat the same in most cases but the degree of yellow/orange would be what intensifies the look of the lavender (they are complimentary colours!). So anything with a super strong orange/yellow would have the best visibility over time. It also seems that orange has really positive staying power. The final distinguishing thing would be the sharpness of the markings.
