Any reason for a bad shed other than humidity?

My big girl has always had perfect sheds, but today's was a big fail. I keep her in a rack, temps are on point and her humidity has been at 70% during her shed.

So what gives? I currently have her working it all off in a wet pillowcase but dang.

So all the shed is off except for one thing - am I correct that this is a retained eye cap?

And this eye is all good and shed?
