Time for a hide upgrade. Which to get?

Sammy is 589 grams. He's grown out of his exo terra mediums. He can still kinda fit, but he can't fit his whole entire body. I was looking at the reptile basics mediums, but I don't believe these provide a "snug" hide for him yet. Is it ok to get them even though he won't feel "snug". Also, I have tried to make hides out of bowls from Walmart, however Sammy does not like them. He never goes in them. I've also been looking at the neodesha hides. Specifically the medium. What do you guys use? I would provide pictures of him right now, but he's in shed.

I use RBI hides. I have larges for my 1680g female but they are getting small for her. I have mediums for my dumerils boa who is about 30" if that helps.

Thanks! Does your dumerils have a lot of girth? Or can it be compared to a sub adult male ball python?

I bought three sizes, Med/Lrg & Extra Lg.. My male is 300 grams and is just about scraping the door of the Med and moving it in order to get in.. So now im going to switch to the large this weekend..
These hides are great because the door is off center all the way to the right, they're perfectly happy with because they stay to the left side perfectly secluded.

    She's probably around 1" thick.

I move my ball pythons into 28qt tubs with reptile basics medium hides at 500g and they seem to do fine. I've only had one snake refuse to use them, and that's my pied. He prefers to hide in the corner of tubs or use tissue boxes for some strange reason. Even if the entrance is a little small they'll be able to get in just fine. I use them until my snakes are about 1000g and then switch to the reptile basics large.

Re: Time for a hide upgrade. Which to get?

I changed my guy over near the end of last month into his 27 qrt with two new medium hides. He's been doing great no issues. He doesn't fit snuggly into the hides. But he loves them. And since he's been doing great I'm not worried. He needs a reweigh for sure but he's def under 400g is my guess. Cheers!

    Here's the setup now

Alright I made my decision. I'm going with the RBI mediums. Thank you all!
