I feed all my snakes twice a week, well at least I offer them food twice a week. Also, you should provide him with a hotspot of 88-90F, he will digest faster if on a hotspot. Most people will say to feed a small hatchling ball python twice a week until it gets to medium rats, then once a week. Even though I feed twice a week I'll change up the size of the rodents, so really I'm not power feeding most snakes. I'll often feed adult mice to use them up as I breed them, or different size rats, etc. Sometimes I run out of rodents and they get a week or two off. But normally I'll offer twice a week.
It also depends on what the snake looks like. A small hatchling can process food quickly and turn it into length instead of girth. An adult fed weekly may get fat. In that case I'll cut back to once a week or sometimes once a month if he is really getting fat. I have a small hatchling right now, she eats adult mice twice a week and is still skinny as a rail, but growing fast! I also found if you have an aggressive snake you can feed it twice a week and it will really mellow out. All my aggressive snakes are puppy dog tame now.
Is that your photo with your ball python in your post? If so, that snake should be on jumbo adult mice. My snake is less than half that size and eating adult mice.
