As above, mites are a nuisance rather than a huge problem. In reality, the diseases mites can transmit are more problematic.
If you have limited space but are concerned about mites you can do a few things:
You can put a barrier around your new snakes enclosure so that escaping mites will be stuck/trapped by tape or killed by diatomaceous earth. Both will successfully kill adult mites. Realistically, if you are practicing good quarantine husbandry such as wearing latex gloves when dealing with your new snake and enclosure and making sure you don't touch your other snakes or their enclosures after your new snake, in all likelihood, you will be fine.
