Too high humidity
Is there anything that can go wrong with my BP if I have too high humidity?

How high is your too high? I keep my Bp at around 70% humidity. And as for something going wrong, if you keep them on wet substrate or a wet cage for a long time, they can develop scale rot and stuff.

Re: Too high humidity
Would have 70-80 humidity on all the time be fine then?

Between there should be fine although I lean more towards the low end of 70 and let it dip into high 60s before I spray down her ReptiChips again. Just make sure the substrate isn't wet 24/7 and that she has a spot she can go to be dry. I generally don't spray the inside of the hides. I just open the door and mist the whatever is exposed.

Then you should be fine. 80% would the highest I would want and I wouldn't want that 24/7. I mean inside a termite mound or inside a rodent burrow I'm sure gets pretty humid but again, 80% spike is fine, 80% constant, I would avoid. Also watch the BP, if she/he is trying to get out of the cage constantly, then you know something is off. If he/she is just cruising around at night being a BP, then you are fine. The substrate isn't wet you say, so I think you will be ok.

From what I've been told, 50%-60% is ideal for 24/7 use. 70%+ for during shed. I have also heard that keeping it that high constantly can cause respiratory issues just like keeping it low, but haven't done enough research to know if that's accurate.

In the Summer we find the enclosures stay between 50 and 60. In winter we use a room humidifier so we don't have to wet anything down.
