    I recollected this thread and decided to do a little research - the Wikipedia page on domesticated and semi domesticated animals is actually fascinating. I am somewhat amused to find that bumblebees and ball pythons are considered semi domesticated.

    It writes "captive bred" for ball pythons, not semi-domesticated. The whole category is a list of "Semidomesticated, routinely captive-bred, or domestication status unclear" species.

    Bumblebees says "held/tame in captivity".
