Quick question about how to plug in my new rack...

I got a four level 41 qt pvc rack. WHEE.

I'm just wondering how to set this kind of rack up? Each level has a separate plug, apparently. Am I supposed to be plugging them all into an extension chord, and then plugging the extension chord into the thermostat...? How does this work?

I've concluded that this is a CRAPLY made rack. The third and fourth level are so tightly/badly fit that they literally can't even be pulled in/out without me pulling and pushing on the entire rack, so the whole rack moves with the tub LOL. The dude also didn't tell me that the rack would be one inch SHORT (on the side that you pull out the tubs) until I drove there to pick it up, and then tells me that he added some locking mechanism to make up for the lost length. I should have known about this beforehand though, maybe figure some other solution out. This is not a proper rack, how convenient racks are supposed to be LOL. Keeping the maker anonymous because dang lol.

I got the short end of the stick.

Also, the heat tape with the probe under it is 4 degrees hotter than the other three heat tapes. So if I set the herpstat to 88, the heat tape with the probe gets to 93~95, while the other three are around 90~91... How do I fix this? I sure wish the heat tapes were wired together (like most racks are) instead of each having separate plugs. Any way for me to wire them together on my own?

You can plug all of them into a power strip or extension cord like you already figured out. Then fine tune your thermostat to get the temps you want on every level. The top one is usually a little warmer. You already figured this out too.

The rack being made wrong or too tight, is a whole nother problem.....

Yeah.. I wish it was not made like this. I let the maker know the problem and he offered to build another one or refund, which is great. I'm still trying to fix this one by melting off the top half inch of the third and fourth tubs LOL. I don't think most people need to push and pull on the rack with their foot in order to pull put a tub right? 😬
