I just didn't see any BCI that I fell in love with. I'm not sure if it's just not their season but there were practically no boas. Saw maybe 6 or 10 of them. Specially no Dumeril's Boa which I want to see one before deciding on a BCI. A pied was always in the future for me. I just made it happen sooner rather than later 😆

Yeah boas are starting to breed now so you wont see a lot neonate start popping up for sale around end of summer/fall. Vin Russo and Joel Diaz both should have Pucallpa Peruvian BCC neonates around then when I talked to them so I got awhile to wait lol.

I am pretty sure I'll go for a BCI but I really, really want to see and hold a Dumeril's before committing. I will be calling it quits at 3 snakes so the next one is it >.< haha

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay and is it a male or a female.

Piebald is my favorite morph but I'm to cheep to buy one. I have a normal het pied female and an albino het pied male. The plan is to make one myself.

    Beautiful snake I'm extremely jealous.

Pieds are a lot cheaper now if you go for a baby. I've seen males for a couple hundred and females for about $400. Also you can find deals sometimes. I know in my area, a guy was selling a female about 150ish grams for $350. I picked up Dottie for $200 on a Black Friday deal. She was a 90g worm, about 12 inches long. 2.5 years later, 3 ft longer and 1630g, I've been offered $1300 for her and others have told me that I should be able to get $1500 for her. She is unproven though so that's why she is a little cheaper.

That's what I said too and here I am planning a Pucallpa Peruvian later this year from Vin Russo or Joel Diaz and also a female snow BCI to go with Rango and maybe try my hand at making some Snow Glows, Sharp Sunglows, Snows and Ghosts.

I was thinking seriously about getting a boa but ended up with a dwarf reticulated python LOL. Should get much bigger than a boa, I think I decided that I liked the shape of the retic better than the blockiness of a boa. I also have a bunch of pieds too LOL. You can never have too many snakes. I may get a boa someday. Now that I'm breeding my own rats I have tons of food, plenty for a few more snakes LOL. That's a great looking pied, I actually went to my first NARBC and was just going to look around and bought my first pair of pieds. Ever since then I've been hooked. I'm always on the hunt for a pied with a new gene in the mix, I actually started with three normal pieds, then expanded to other genes + pied. Should get some cool pied combos someday.

This guy was $325, I also saw some for $200 and $250 but they were really, really low white. I thought about making them myself too since hets can be $50- $100 but I'm not really trying to get into breeding so I bit the bullet on this one. If there any expos near you I definitely recommend you check them out, definitely the cheapest you can probably get.

Haha probably but right now I have 2 babies. I want to let them grow and do this for a bit longer before I get in any deeper 😂
