When I had paper towels I was going through each tub every day and cleaning 1-3 per day. And with paper towels I could immediately smell it as soon as they made a mess. Since I switched to Reptichip everything changed. I can no longer smell it unless they poo really bad and usually only when I open the tub. I dig a hole in the Reptichip in the back of the tub and when they make a mess they climb out of that hole and go up to the front of the cage. Then I take the whole tub out and spot clean the back and wipe it down with Chlorhexidine, dry with paper towels, and put the snake back in the back directly on the tub on the hot spot. I usually feed twice a week and the day after feeding I go through and spray down the substrate and spot clean the cages that need it. I'd say using Reptichip cut down at least 90% of my work cleaning cages and cutting out the smells.

So, here's a question related to this...

If a ball eats once a week, how often is it pooping? I can see the urine being often, but is the poop daily also? Or, is it minimal?

Depends on the animal, but it's typically minimal. 2-4 weekly meals for every 1 BM is about what my animals average.

I clean any "messes" as soon as I see them. Believe me, cleaning up after the snakes is a million times easier than cleaning up after 4 ferrets!!

My BP will usually poop every 2-3 meals, but occasionally more frequent. His first two poops after coming home with me, were on me, ugggh. He was just hanging out in the front pocket of my hoodie and let out a monster pee/poop combo. About 2 weeks later he was hanging out in the hood of the same sweatshirt and I suddenly caught a whiff, he got me again!! My king, however, seems to poop after almost every meal
