Beside dropping the temp and breeding (a bit disputed) the other significant trigger is thought to be increased feeding. I let mine eat as much as they want, sometimes a medium every 5 days, although they've slowed down now that the breeding season is at his fullest. Only after ovulation is better to reduce the prey size and frequency.

One more thing I found beneficial, mostly to breeding, is an occasional bump in humidity. I give a quick stray of water once a week to the breeding female tubs.

Thanks, I actually never heard of the increased feeding thing before, but I'll try it! Even if it's disputed, whatever might work. I wish she would take f/t... it would make things so much easier.
