I'd say either one would work, as far as price wise I would think they are roughly equivalent, depends on which morph you want to work with. I like to go on Morphmarket.com and look up combos to see what they would look like, for example, I just picked up an albino pied. If you work albino into any other gene it just makes it look like a muddy orange snake, not really that impressive. I'll probably just stick with the albino pieds. Personally I like the banana / coral glow combos the best, the coral glow spider is one of my favorites. Personally I'd get the banana, I like it better in other combos. Also, if you have a choice between a male and a female I've found that the older females usually bring more money than an old male since one male can breed multiple females. But when I choose a new snake I have to really consider if I want to work with that gene and if I like all the gene combos that it produces. The other thing I like are genes that are very obvious such as the pieds or clowns. Genes like pastel / fire / yellowbelly / orange dream confuse me since they all look similar to me. I'm sure with more experience I could probably tell them apart. Just because a snake is cheap and available doesn't mean that I'll add it to my breeding program.
