Is it typical for a Ball Python to go over 8 weeks without going into shed?

Title. My snake last shed his skin on December 5th 2016 and every morning I've been checking his belly for pinking, and it's still clear. I read online it can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks before a Ball Python goes into shed again.

Totally typical! They'll shed when they need to- it's an uncontrollable process, so just watch whenever they go into blue and bump the humidity for a few days.

My adults can take a few months before a shed.

My adult BP's sheds are much more inconsistent than my Boas or Carpet Pythons. (She's also the oldest FWIW)

Sometimes the sheds are 30 days apart, 60, or 100 or more. That's not counting no sheds during fasting of 5-9 months.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Please excuse the spelling in my posts. Auto-Correct is my worst enema.

Depends on the age of the animal and the feeding frequency since there is no info it's hard to say if it's normal or not.

I checked his belly this morning and it's VERY pink! Looks like he needed 8 weeks instead of 6. My little boy is finally in shed.
