about to shed or something else

my bp is confusing me. i thought he was going to shed - his belly was pink and his skin was loose.
his eyes were cloudy but they were also deflated and a bit red.
if he is shedding, he is about two weeks in.

but when i looked closer i realized he seems to be very dehydrated.
he's refused f/t food for three weeks even though he was eating with the breeder
i can clearly make out his spine and the different vertebrae.
he is a few months old and around 75 g

any advice? i don't know what to do.

I think those temps are fine, and the cool side is fine, in my opinion. Humidity seems good. I think from the pictures it looks good, but hard to say, as they're not large, Hi-res photos. I'd just keep an eye on it and offer food ever 4 or 5 days.

I think there are general behaviors displayed during the shed process but ultimately you kinda just have to know what to look for in each individual. One of mine like clockwork stays in her hide and looks to be on the verge of death when she goes into shed. She only comes out when it's time to eat and when I check on her she doesn't move much and looks sick. Then she sheds and is normal again until it's time to shed again. My other one is different. You notice he is in blue and then he goes out of blue and sheds but he doesn't act any different. I wouldn't worry. Just make sure your temps and humidity are good and that you are providing fresh water.

Re: about to shed or something else

Yeh everything seems spot on to me regarding temp and humidity your snake looks in healthy condition to me and a very nice looking one at that my pb is 4 month now and I've had him 5 week he's just done his first shed with me last week and never missed a meal but I no some can be picky eaters during shedding I'd say there is nothing to worry about at this moment in time maybe try leave his meal till its shed then try feed him again just keep the humidity how it is or a little higher till he has shed then let's go from there and make sure there is clean water every day for him to soak in if he feels the need to do so keep us all updated on how you get on
