Juvenile BP Weight?
Hey all, a little concerned about the weight of our juvenile BP. We've had her for a month and she's only eaten one pinkie, on the first out of 3 attempts (we try once a week). I've got peach fuzzies coming tomorrow - she's definitely too girthy for pinkies - and we'll attempt to feed her again then. I know that being that she just came home a few weeks ago, and with the winter season, that isn't unusual for them to go off food for a little while, but just want to see what everyone's thoughts are.
Here she is pictured next to a Bic lighter for size reference, currently tipping the scales at 56 grams. I feel like she's definitely a little thin but don't know if she has a shed coming or if she's just a finicky BP. Thoughts?
EDIT: I don't think it's a habitat issue...ambient temp is about 83 degrees and the heat pad is 91F. Humidity is about 60%, plenty of hide space.

Good looking little Mojave?
At that weight it probably hadn't eaten before you got it but what did they tell you it was eating?
A live hopper mouse will usually do the trick every time.

Yep, mojave.
She ate at least the 2 previous weeks before we brought her home...F/T pinkies both weeks. Did not eat the week we brought her home, ate the week after, and skipped the past two.
I don't want to get her hooked on live chow if I can avoid it but I'm sure a live hopper would give her something to think about. Suppose I'll see what she does with tomorrow's F/T fuzzy. She basically acts like she doesn't have a hunting instinct, which I know isn't the case because she's eaten unassisted a few times.
Worried more than anything about weight...if 56g is light for a 16.5" BP or still within the healthy spectrum.

Reason: Added length

Should be eating hoppers either way. Pinkys and fuzzies are way too small.

Looks a bit lite, just like my Hatchling was 3 weeks ago... I find it hard to beleive whatnthe breeder told me as far as feeding.... Mine has eaten 3 mice now in 15 days and is up to 72 grams... She was thin as a grass snake now looking better but doesnt come out of her hide unless a mouse is dropped..
If I were you id try live and get her weight up. I get afraid their immune can get low and then stress can take a toll...
