p.s. I'm also worried that he may be constipated if any ya'll can help a newcomer out that be great.
p.p.s. i haven't really handled him is that a problem?

1. The white ball thing you see is probably what some would call the urates, and others would call the calcium deposit. I'm not sure exactly which it is, but it is healthy and normal to pass. With my bp's 4 bowel movements she's had while in my care, she's had the white powdery ball, and feces 3 out of the 4 times(one was just a little pee...on my sisters shoulder ).
2. The "turd" should look...well, like a turd I guess, lol. The ones I've seen pass through my bp were brown, and resembled a small kitty p00p. Sometimes it'd be 2-3 inches long, other times it'd just be a little ball.
3. It's up to you to handle him or not. I doubt he cares, lol. But to ensure a calm, handleable bp, you might want to start regular handling. It could be anywhere from 5-10 minutes a day, to a half an hour. However long he lets you really. You can usually tell they want to be put back in their enclosure when they ball up, get hissy, or get squirmy. I myself try to handle my bp atleast 3 times a week, not including the two days for feeding and digestion time.

The three-inch log sounds normal. Be prepared for 5-inch-plus "logs" in the future, though!
