Since Burms are on the Lacy act I doubt anyone is breeding them anymore, most breeders ditched that project because they have so many eggs and you can't get rid of them very easily, it would be hard to move 50+ Burms in one state only. I'd throw out some ads on Craig's list to see if you can find one to rehome. As far as breeders vs. private individuals for retics I would think you would be fine as long as you know the genetics, percentages and localities of SD/D retic. I actually just bought one on Craig's List and he gave me the original paperwork he got from the breeder, I contacted the breeder directly and got all the info I needed. And I paid about 1/3 of the price since he was desperate to get rid of the snake and moving out of state. If you can't get the genetics in full detail forget out it unless you want to risk a monster snake LOL.
