Hello all. I hope your 2017 is off to a great start.

I just found I have access to stock newspaper end rolls.

Anyone use/recommend this as an alternative to the usual cypress/coco husk/reptibark/etc. ?

I will be housing my bp and dumerils in T10's eventually and heard the paper is a great alternative substrate.

I don't see why not, it probably doesn't hold humidity anywhere near as well as cypress or coco husk does, so if that's what you're relying on to keep your humidity within the appropriate range, you're going to probably have to figure out what youre going to do without it.

I've heard the PVC style enclosures really hold humidity well, if I do end up with an issue I'll get a larger H2O bowl and maybe some moss in the hides as well and reevaluate from there. This paper is pretty inexpensive as well so worth a shot.
