    Snakes recover seriously slow. If the round of antibiotics was just a week or two, no wonder it came back - it was never really gone. If a culture wasn't done before, you certainly need one now, because that round of antibiotics likely caused the bacteria to become resistant to it, and the antibiotic won't work at all, leaving you with a sick snake that will get even sicker.
