    Enchi het Pied

Hi all, i work at a petsmart. We just got in today, (i opened the shipping package) an enchi het pied hatchling. She is great looking and in great condition! She is priced at 119 and i get a 15% discount. Is this a good deal? Like, a steal? We usually only get normals, pastels, and black pastels so i saw enchi het pied and got real excited. If it is a great deal i would like to pick her up while she is still in great health and physical condition. Otherwise ill just have to try and convince everyone else to take her. I wish i could save them all from my chain store but i cant :/ (also i do not take care of the animals, im in a different department, i just try to help out when i can to keep the animals husbandry right)

not an Enchi. looks like a Pastel with an interesting pattern. the wonkiness makes me think it could be het Pied.

Could she possibly be a super pastel? With her head being so pale?

no i don't think so. a Super Pastel would be more blushed out that on the head and elsewhere on the body.

i dig the pattern tho. almost looks Leopard Pastel. this is my own Leopard Pastel girl when she was a baby:

the wonky pattern def. makes me think there is something else going on like it is actually het Pied.

Cool thanks for the info! Looking into it more i definitely agree with you, not enchi, not super. She is the coolest pattern snake we've ever gotten in though. and your snake looks awesome!

Looks like a pastel with nice blushing.
If they didn't get the morph right, I wouldn't count on the Het Pied or it being a female.....

If it's not an enchi obviously you can question the het pied part as well, if you want a quality animal with genetics you can trust, buy directly from a reputable breeder, nothing worse than investing time and money and end up with a project that never materialize.

I think any pet store should at least be able to get the gene right. Even if they come labeled wrong. I get that their bread and butter is the dog and cat stuff but there should be someone on staff that can speak intelligently and answer questions about the reptiles they are selling. I don't usually get bent out of shape over Petsmart stories but they should at least be able to identify them correctly. There are just too many good options out there to buy questionable snakes from Petsmart. I'm not passing judgement on anyone but you DO have better, cheaper options. Especially if you are already posting here.
