    Is my BP's weight ok?

Recently bought a banana BP from a store. Believe it's a female. I weighed her and she's only 62grams. Not exactly sure how old but I know the store received her the end of October so she's only a few months old. From what I know hatchlings come out heavier than that?

Age and weight don't mean much unless you throw in body condition. Got a picture?

They didn't have it sexed? That's pretty odd for them to say female without being positive.
It's probably just been fed spread out enough that it only maintained its hatching weight but can't really say without pictures showing body condition.

Re: Is my BP's weight ok?

They didn't know the sex, when I got it home I did the "popping" method and believe it's a female. I'm not a professional with snakes or popping but watched many videos on it. Not sure if I did it correctly or not and didn't want to keep trying or checking because I didn't want to cause any harm to the snake. I will get some pictures up tomorrow to help better understand. Thank you for the replies.
