    I prefer the proportional thermostat like a Herpstat for an RHP because it tries to maintain a constant temp by adjusting the power to the RHP. The Jumpstart will be full power until it reaches the set temp, at which point it turns off. It turns back on when the temp is 2°F below the set point. That being said, I believe there are plenty of people that use a jumpstart with an RHP without incident.
