Stop looking up snake diseases and just get the husbandry set up right. Put him on a substrate that holds moisture (like cypress mulch or coco husk) and give him a warm and cool hide. Then leave him alone for a while (we're talking weeks here). Only go in his cage to change the water, clean up a mess or to offer food on feeding day.
If you want piece of mind, find a good reptile vet and take him in and then heed their advice.
