HELP!!!!

My BP started to finish his actual shed last night before I went to sleep when I woke up this morning he had used the bathroom and was shedding in patches.... this is our first shed together and I was not expecting a perfect shed but the problem is when I took him out of his enclosure and put him in his other smaller enclosure to soak in shed ease I noticed a red mass of some sort popping out of his vent... I have no idea what this is being that this is my first BP so I cannot tell if this is normal to see once an a while or if my BP is in serious trouble and needs to be taken to the vet as soon as possible. Can some one please tell me what this is and how or if I need to do anything to treat this problem. Could this have been caused by his skin staying on last night while I was sleeping and it just stuck out of his body in his shed?

That happens from time to time. Try applying a little bit of room temperature sugar water to it to see if he is able to pull it back in himself. If he can't do that today, you need to get him to a vet right away.

Sugar water? Okay so what causes this to happen, or what is it?

I asked someone online and they said it is called a prolapse and they suggested trying the sugar water treatment as well .....thanx for your help hopefully that will work but if not I will be taking him to the vet today or tomorrow

thanx for the help and concern......... Loki is okay he actually had some how fixed this problem byhimself just as I had returned to my room with the sugar water lol guess he didnt want to take a trip to the vet

From what i know, its always best when the snake retracts a prolapse itself rather than having someone do it for them. So YAY FOR LOKI

How does that happen? Mine has never done that
