Male ball python hissing & active all day

Hey guys. My adult male has recently started roaming around his tub during the day. He won't go into his hides, he just lays on top of them and moves his head around the front of the tub as if he's looking for a way out. My temps and humidity are okay and nothing has changed. I also sometimes hear a short hiss coming from him while he's chillin in his tub.

I have him in the same rack as my breeder female. Is he just feeling horny? This is the first year I've had a breeder size male so I'm not sure if their behaviour changes this much during breeding season.

Snakes sometime do atempt to escape, they try to find a way out. If your enclosure is secure then don't worry about it, he'll explore it a couple of times.
As for the hissing sound... be sure he has no mucus or excess saliva, it might be him hissing or it may be the start of a smal respiratory problem
