    Is this a good idea?

    So, for the past long while I've been eyeing a post on Kijiji regarding some ball pythons. In the ad it says that he has (among other things) two female OD fire spiders available. Now this is awesome because I've been looking for a female OD fire spider however all of his prices are significantly lower than I think they should be. Every other time I've seen an OD fire spider for sale in this area (only twice) it was advertised for $900 however in this case it is a little less then half of that. This makes me very cautious to pull the trigger. I texted this person for a bit today and they seem like a decent person and both of the animals are really pretty, although there is some obvious stuck shed on both animals. So I guess I'm just asking whether everyone on here thinks this is a good idea or a bad idea. I'll include some pictures of the animals below so you'll know what I'm talking about and you can maybe chime in about why the price might be so low.

    This is the first one (it's in shed);

    and a head shot

    Now the second one;

    a closer shot of the head;

    First one looks good second one I would not put that in my collection, ultimately it's YOUR choice

    Yeah I guess it is, I did kinda like how the other one looked as well but the first one is a better example and it is more along the lines of what I want to do long term. Thanks for the input. I guess the price and the animals in the photos didn't alarm anyone so I guess I'll be picking up the first female. Thanks everyone!

    I'm new to royal pythons and this thread has helped me in my understanding of this morph.

    I know you said they are in shed but do they look a bit dehydrated to anyone else?

    That was something I was thinking too but I thought that since no one said anything there wasn't a problem.

    Too busy when it should really be clean to me it's a low grade animal, and since I am a firm believer in selective breeding this is not something I would holdback if I produced it or buy if I came across it.

    Its still a lot of money, and I think if you would like to breed it, it should consider Deb's advice. It does look very dehydrated, and I'm kind of concerned on how they were treated?
