    C-serpents rack help !!!

I have a c serpents subadult rack. The hotspot is set to 92 degrees on my ve-100 but when I measure the temp with the temp gun it's reading 80.degrees f which is way too cold for my ball pythons. The ve probe is saying 92 degrees but there is clearly a discrepancy I have the probe in the middle of the rack directly on the heat tape. Please help. Thanks

Hey mp, how long have you had the rack and thermostat hooked up? It usually takes several hours to run through b4 the heat tape and the thermostat equilibrate. Let it run for awhile. Double check all the connections as well. Make sure the probe is foil taped correctly and not too far away from the heat tape.

If all that checks out then you have to take into consideration the ambient temperature of the room that the rack is in. That may call for you to raise the setting temp on the thermostat.

I have my ve-100 set at 92 in my v-18 and it keeps the tubs at 89-91. My snake room stays at 78 degrees though.
