My little hatchlings that I just got yesterday Ball up a little bit but for the others that I've had for a little while now, they are comfortable now and behave just like yours does in the pic.
I have one snake that has never balled up when he's out and is constantly on the move. I only ever see him curled up in his hides. As others said, totally normal. Also love the name Charlotte! Snakes with people names are the best.
