Deborah makes a great point (as she always does). All too often we try to portray our human needs/wants on our pets/animals. The simply just don't need things that we often feel they should need or have.

Just my two cents, but in the wild even a ground dwelling animal climbs over obstacles a foot or three high. No one is saying it's a substitute for proper temperatures, humidity, and hides, but I don't think it's fair to say that giving a bp things to climb only benefits the keeper.

So you're suggesting that my 5 Royals spend every night climbing in branches and even lying / sleeping in them to HUMOUR and entertain me !?!?
I see these kind of setups every day online , usually posted by breeders , even the infamous Brian the Snake Breeder in the USA uses this very same format . A container , a hide and a water dish .
Hell his snakes don't only eat well ..... they breed as well .
You're saying that just because a snake 'survives' from one day to the next and even eats a meal when offered that these snakes are stress- free and happy !?!?!?

answered the OP telling the OP that if his setup worked he did not have to change it for anyone.....wow a noble idea someone open to all type of setup so long it works.....you should try it sometime.
As for free and happy, YOUR snakes are not free either.....hello pot.....
Done with you wasted to many keystrokes already.
I just offered an opinion and advice gained from MY experiences .
All done in good faith as usual .
As for this thread - I'm promoting branches for Royals and then minutes later you state that no changes are needed as they're ground dwellers ....
I also referred to stress-free NOT actually free - two completely different things tbh

My whole point in putting them in a smaller darker place is that they ARE more stress free now. I've listened to people who have worked w these snakes for 10 or 20 years and they all say the same thing.. a big fancy glass display tank is NOT what these snakes need, particularly as babies.

Re: My amazingly PERFECT BP setups.
And Deborah, thank you for the supporting words. I in no way wanted to make this a drama filled thread. I respect all opinions, but I will let my kingsnakes have the fancy setups for now lol. They don't seem to mind at all.

Ah the aptly named PitOnThe Prowl .....we also meet again ...
It's like the OK Coral
As regards your suggestion that I continued to " PUSH it " ....
I prefer to describe it as continued to discuss it tbh .
To the innocent bystanders ...
I should explain that all this drama comes from a while back when I had the audacity to speak out against LIVE feeding .
